1. Who we are

The Comunidad 3D platform (comunidad3d.com) is operated from Montevideo, Uruguay. Contact: [email protected]. By creating an account or using the platform, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

2. The service

Comunidad 3D offers, free of charge:

3D printing cost calculator: an indicative tool to estimate the costs and selling prices of printed parts based on the data you enter.
News: information about the world of 3D printing.
Community: forum, profile and other areas for taking part, when available.

In your country, Comunidad 3D does not sell products or ship goods through the platform.

3. Registration

To use certain features, you must:

Be 18 or older. The service is intended only for adults.
Provide true, current and complete information.
Keep your password confidential and not share your account.
Tell us immediately if you notice unauthorised use of your account.

You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Comunidad 3D may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms, giving the reason whenever possible.

4. Acceptable use

When using the platform, you agree to:

Use it lawfully and in accordance with applicable law.
Not post content that is illegal, defamatory, threatening, obscene, discriminatory or that infringes the rights of others.
Not send spam, unauthorised advertising or bulk messages.
Not attempt to gain unauthorised access to systems, other people's accounts or restricted areas.
Not distribute malicious software.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you post (messages, images, designs). By posting it in public areas, you allow Comunidad 3D to display it on the platform for as long as it is published, and you confirm that you have the rights needed to do so. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or the law.

6. Calculator results are indicative

The calculator is free and indicative. Its results are estimates based on the data you enter (power consumption, electricity rate, labour, profit margin, etc.) and are not a quote, an offer or a pricing recommendation.
You alone are responsible for the prices you set and charge your customers, and for the tax and legal obligations of your business. Reference values we show (such as electricity rates or material prices) may be out of date.
Comunidad 3D does not guarantee the accuracy of the calculations and is not responsible for business decisions made based on them.

7. Intellectual property

The content of Comunidad 3D (text, images, logos, design, code and software) belongs to Comunidad 3D or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You may not reproduce, distribute or modify it without express permission.

8. Limitation of liability

Availability: we aim to keep the platform available at all times, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted operation; there may be interruptions for maintenance.
Indirect loss: to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Comunidad 3D is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits or damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the platform.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits rights that cannot be waived by law, including those granted to you by the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, nor our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud, where applicable.

9. Privacy and data protection

The processing of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy.

10. Closing your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Privacy. When you do, your personal data is erased or anonymised as described in the Privacy Policy.

11. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence, which will apply where relevant, including your right to bring a claim in the courts where you live when the law grants it (as a UK consumer, you may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you live).

Before making any claim, please write to us at [email protected] so we can try to resolve it amicably.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes by email at least 15 days in advance and, where necessary, ask for renewed acceptance. If you do not agree with the changes, you can delete your account.
